Before relocating to Shenzhen, China, I taught Taiwanese children English online. I thoroughly enjoyed it because I could see my students progress after each lesson. I used the Tutor ABC online learning platform which allowed me to leave daily feedback for each student. I also taught South American adults English online using the Rosetta Stone platform. That was also quite fulfilling because my students wanted to improve conversational English and business English, unlike my Taiwanese students who were primarily focused on academic English.
In 2016 though, well before leaving my beautiful home country South Africa, I was offered the job: Music teacher at the primary school I attended as a child. What a full circle moment that was. Read about it HERE.
Sharing knowledge in various fields, especially in language and music, has always allowed me to express my passion and share the importance of education.
Education does indeed change lives. Seeing students grow from all levels is what makes this job rewarding.
