As a multitalented woman in the 21st century, I, Lebo Poen, am a writer, musician and educator. I love reading books, and I am usually moved by socio-political issues such as violence against men, women and children, and genocide. I believe my passion for making the world a better place can be seen in my artistic expression. South Africa, the place I call home, boasts breathtaking natural landscapes, rich cultural diversity, and wild safaris.
My multilingual proficiency allows me to acclimate to any area of my choice. I matriculated from Bluehills College before obtaining my Diploma in Audio Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science degree.
I also have a TEFL certificate and a TKT Young Learners certificate.
Over the years, I have held several positions in my various passion pillars. I worked as a sports writer, before starting my sound engineering career.
I then worked as a radio technical producer, creative arts teacher, information officer, and sound technology lecturer.
I have been an educator in my home country South Africa, in Shenzhen, China and I am currently based in Hong Kong.
