At the start of my music career, I was a performer. This allowed me to visualise how composed music can be performed. This gives me the upper hand as some sound engineers and educators in the music industry are not performers. I also trained as a jazz pianist.
I enjoy helping artists discover their voice, map out their vision, be it for a single, EP or album. As a sound engineer I also assist artists achieve their envisioned mix, and I may step in during the production phase as well.
In my experience, I have been a live sound engineer, a technical producer, a creative arts teacher (music) at Connie Minchin Primary School, and an archiver and facilitator at Mzansi Poetry Academy.
In terms of education, I lectured in the field of Sound Engineering at Damelin College (Braamfontein campus). I was also a student advisor for the Music Production and Sound Engineering course at Abbey Road Institute in Midrand.

This song is for all those we have lost to Covid. This song is about our tears, and all other pains in between. To us who remain to mourn; it’s all about how hard we now have to hold on, how we have to have the faith of our children, to not have the spirit of fear – to face this storm ’til it passes. And speaking of children…I can’t imagine a deeper pain. To the parents who have lost their children to Covid, let God give you the biggest hug.
In these days of Corona, lockdown, and social distancing. We have a message for you, from the Lord to you. 2 Timothy 1 v 7, “For the spirit that God has given us does not make us timid. Instead, it gives us power, love, and self-control.”
Not a lot of people made it.
You’re so strong, and brave.
